The Port acquires more land
June 8, 2010
Land Acquisition The Port of Shreveport-Bossier recently acquired land in Bossier Parish. This 25-acre tract of land is located at the western tip of the greenfield site referred to as Scopini Island within the Port complex and will complement this acreage for a prospective Port manufacturing tenant in need of road, rail, pipeline and river access. An interesting historical note is that Scopini Island and Tones Bayou played a key role in the 1864 Red River Campaign.
