CADDO-BOSSIER PARISHES PORT COMMISSION November 4, 2009
Davison Transport/Terminals
The Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission voted in favor of a resolution authorizing the financing of Nine Million Dollars ($9,000,000) through the Louisiana Community Development Authority (LCDA) bond issue. The purpose of this financing is for the expansion of the truck terminal at Red River Terminals, two additional storage tanks within their tank farm facility, as well as a new rail spur at The Port of Shreveport-Bossier.
The new storage tanks will be floating roof tanks and have the vapor recovery systems. These tanks are unlike any other currently at The Port and will allow Davison to attract new business and increase their volumes through The Port of Shreveport-Bossier. The expanded tank farms, totaling approximately 500,000 barrels of storage capacity, combined with their expanded truck terminal and rail spur, will facilitate their existing and anticipated increases in activity from The Port.
