A MASTER PLAN FOR THE PORT OF SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER

Earlier this year, the Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission authorized the services of Burk Kleinpeter, Inc. (BKI) to provide the Commission with the surveys, studies, assessments and all related items on the land that was recently acquired and also to develop a Master Plan for The Port complex, as well as the surrounding property. The Commission instructed that the Master Plan include a focus on the requirements for all modes of transportation.

BKI is currently reviewing the recently acquired land to determine the most beneficial layout of roads, rail, utilities, as well as subdivisions, permitting and zoning of the premises. BKI also has begun the scope and services to be provided under the Master Plan, not only for the newest site, but also for the existing and surrounding adjacent sites.
